Thought for the Day

Everyday is an opportunity to choose your way in life.  Take a moment to refresh your spirit and question yourself just what talents and abilities are within you.  Make a step forward to grasp and hold your dreams in your heart.  Do something in your life that is positive.  Do not let negative actions control you.  You are the decider of just what you will accomplish.  Learn all you can and gain knowledge and allow yourself to be fed with great understanding.  For when you allow knowledge in you will have understanding.  Life is a continual walk and your decisions decide the paths.  Trust in hope and experience great and rewarding outcomes.  Never give up!

Play Dress

Samantha is wearing her precious little play dress.  The fabric can be purchased at www.lolapinkfabrics.com  they have great service and lots to choose from.

Samantha is Ready for School

Samantha is sporting her new school uniform.  Doesn't she just look so cute?  I just love creating doll clothes.  It's fun and playful.  If you have a little one to sew for try whipping up a doll dress or two and enjoy watching them play dress up.
Samantha's school uniform is actually a pattern I designed.  It is custom made to match one of our local schools.

Bishops and Bonnets

I must say I do believe Bishops and Bonnets are definitely my specialty. One of the best things I have learned living in Louisiana is the Bishop. If you don't know what a Bishop is, let me explain. It is a precious round yoke smocked dress that most every little girl in Louisiana grew up wearing. I enjoyed dressing my precious little girl in many colors. Purple was my very favorite for her. But she sported every color I enjoyed sewing. This pretty little pink Bishop and Bonnet is my next ensemble :) I just love sewing, smocking and seeing all those precious little girls wearing them.

The Abbey Bag

We will be making this precious Abbey Bag. A must if you like to sew and even more of a must if you like to travel and sew! The bag will be kitted and all you will have to do is sit back and enjoy sewing!! Sign up to attend this class at www.lolapinkfabrics.com or stop in to register. There are limited spots, so sign up now.

My Thoughts Of the Day Shared

Times come and times go. The ones that we know no more, are those that have left lasted impressions upon our lives. For of all the times, the ones that are unending are the ones that have made an impact upon our lives through events that have sculpted our very being. For what we walk thru allows us to learn and experience just who we are and who we have been. As time walks thru the door of our lives we allow it to become the river that carves the very unique crevices that hold the very substance of who we are today. So as the clock ticks and the hands move it is truly an effort of change happening upon each life that it is keeping.

Just a little Thought

Time flies yes it does. Don't waste the moments pondering in grudge. Make sure you hold your head up high and allow the thoughts to freely flow. Don't let your problems chase your hope away, keep a clear mind and allow the truth to play. Take a deep breath and rise and shine and look at the possibilities of YOUR time. :-D Luv your comments..... Nothing like a little Chocolate and Strawberrys to make us feel good huh?

Birthday's and Butterfies

I do luv Butterflies. They are just so pretty. This is a card I created for another friend of mine for her BD. The Butterflies were created by stamping Bella Toile Big Background stamp in three different colors. This is a stamp from Stampin' Up! I then used my Butterfly punch, also from Stampin' Up! to punch out the three Butterflies. I stamped one of the butterflies from "Flight of the Butterfly" (SU also) three times in the Choc Chip Classic Ink and fusy cut the body and antennas with my scissors. Mini glue dots were used to adhere them to the Butterflies. I also used the Textured Impressions Folder "Elegant Bouquet" SU to create the embossed flowers in the corner. Simple and Easy! The Cell Phone case and organizers was also something I made for her. Hope she likes it!! :-)

Tennis Bella

I love playing tennis. It's another of my addictions. It's time for tennis season to start again and I'm so ready. So in celebration of the new season I just had to create some cards for my team mates. So here is my Tennis Bella for this season. I love looking at Paula's blog over at paulatracy66.typepad.com she is so talented at coloring and creating her cards. Not long ago I asked her for some techniques and she shared a background shading tech on her blog that really helped me out. So here is my try at shading. I colored Tennis Bella with my Stampin' Write Markers. I did the ground and blue background shading with my Prisma Color Pencils along with some Sansodor for blending. I absolutely love my Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions folders. I used Petals-A-Plenty on the Bashful Blue background layer. Well There u go!!
